Francisco Mrquez is a Spanish photographer specialized in nature and travel, of wide renown because of the widespread diffusion of his work in so prestigious publications such as National Geographic (Spain, Germany, Greece), Wildlife Conservation, GEO, Canadian Wildlife, Terre Sauvage, BBC Wildlife, Pyrnes, Airone, Oasis, Grasduinen, etc. He has taught different courses, given lectures and made photography presentations in Spain, France, United Kingdom, Germany and Finland and he has also worked as a photographer in some documentary series for the Spanish Public Television (TVE). He has been awarded on different occasions the Wildlife Photographer of the Year (United Kingdom), the most important event on nature and wildlife photography in the world. He is the author of four photography books and at the moment he is travelling around Africa, Asia and Europe preparing different publishing projects. Francisco Mrquez is an artist who has always been very concerned with nature preservation, collaborating with some of the most important non-governmental organizations in Spain and Europe such as WWF, handing over his images for awareness campaigns. Since the end of 2007 he is a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP), an important organization which gathers the best nature photographers in the world committed to conservation. Endangered species of fauna and flora, natural areas in the world, environmental problems and life and traditions are the topics of interest for this artist in the present.
