For the past 35 years Balan Madhavan has been actively involved in Nature & Conservation photography. He possess deep knowledge about the unique biodiversity of the Western Ghats of India. He works closely with the Forests & Wildlife department of Kerala and is the visual author of close to a dozen coffee-table books on various National Parks & Sanctuaries in Kerala.
