Marcus Westberg

Marcus is a photojournalist and writer focusing on a wide range of issues related to our connection with the natural world and to one another. Though his usual place of work is sub-Saharan Africa, where topics range from human-wildlife conflict mitigation to climate change research, in recent years he has also played a leading role in documenting and exposing unsustainable forestry practices in his native Sweden. Marcus is a Sony Wildlife Explorer and a contributor or advisory board member to several collaborative photography efforts. He has won numerous prestigious photojournalism awards, had articles published in high-profile publications around the world, and works for many impactful NGOs in both Sweden and Africa.
