Wildfires and Biodiversity in the Iberá Wetlands

Fighting wildfires in Iberá Park, Corrientes Province, Argentina. After months of unprecedented drought driven by climate change, wildfires in early 2022 devastated the vast Iberá wetlands, a haven for wildlife including numerous endangered species. The nonprofit Rewilding Argentina, a partner of Tompkins Conservation, is working to conserve and rewild Iberá.
